Qing dynasty Chinese Wood Carving depicting the God of Longevity, Shou Lao, circa 1900

Powerful depiction of the old man with his large forehead and long beard, holding his staff and peach.

Hand carved Oriental hardwood or boxwood with inlaid glass eyes.

In very good sound condition, typical insignificant shrinkage splits and repairs.

Good original polished surface to the fine grained dense hardwood.

Height 15,1/4" or 38.5 cm weight 2.652 kilos.
