Description

George I walnut kneehole

This George I walnut kneehole was made in the first quarter of the 18th century.

The top with the very attractive book matched quarter veneers and with a deep crossbanding that is edged with a chequer inlay and box stringing.

The recessed cupboard that is set to the rear of the kneehole, has 2 doors that open to reveal the cupboards interior.

To each side of the kneehole are a bank of 4 graduated drawers, with stringing and edged with a box line, fitted with brass handles.

The kneehole stands on well-proportioned walnut bun feet.

This kneehole would have been made to be used as a dressing table with a separate dressing mirror placed on the top, it can be of course used for many other uses around your home.

This Walnut kneehole is of a fantastic colour and good patina, imagine the pleasure ownership will give you.
