Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the 1930s.
A vintage trunk/crate used in the RAF.
We bring to you an excellent condition vintage trunk believed to be from around C1933. From our research we believe that this box carried test equipment (T/E) at the Streatham Common emergency landing ground in Greater London which was used from 1933-1935, the box mentions 'NOT WANTED ON VOYAGE' due to carrying test equipment.

This lovely trunk is made from solid Pine with wooden strengthening bands and rope handles. This trunk is in lovely completely original condition and bears its original dark blue RAF colour scheme with lighter blue bands and various hand painted references including the dimensions, weight and the address of its base. The chest bares its original owners Raf Number, name 'S.A.C Frankham.R' and address which we feel is quite charming.
. This chest would look fabulous in a loft style apartment or vintage themed home and would certainly be an interesting talking point for guests.

Please note; This item is in very good condition for its age but will obviously have the odd slight blemishes and here and there, however, we feel that this adds to the charm and authenticity of the item with it being antique.
