All Original Antique English Sterling Silver Magnifying Glass - 1900

Description

It's a rare find these days when one comes across an antique magnifying glass, all original and intact.

The handle is a joy with a plethora of intricate repousse decoration which extends to the bottom portion of the frame surrounding the glass. The handle has a good clear English hallmark for Birmingham 1900, making this a true Victorian example. The frame surrounding the lens is all original, in a nickel or silver plate with an attractive beaded edge to both front and back.

Excellent condition and as usable today as it was over 110 years ago, a very good magnification with a good clear lens. 7 3/8" in length with a glass diameter of 3".
