Exquisite Cased Victorian Silver Napkin Ring by William Thorneywork, Birmingham 1899

Description

This beautiful quality Victorian silver napkin ring bears the marks of William Thorneywork and is dated Birmingham 1899. Of unusual hexagonal form, it has repousse foliate decorations on a lattice background with a vacant cartouche to the front and hallmarked to the back. It has a good silver gauge. Comes in a black leather presentation case lined with green velvet and cream satin.

Hallmarks:

W*T for William Thorneywork.

Lion Passant.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Date letter "z" for 1899.

Condition:

Very good.

Dimensions and Weight:

Height: 3.5cm - 1.3 inches.

Diameter: 5cm - 2 inches.

Weight: 36g / 1. 2 oz
