A good straight sided 1 quart measure by Henry Fothergill of Bristol, who worked 1819-1845.
The measure has a straight sided body with a low fillet, standing on a raised flared foot, giving the measure extra height. The handle is of unusual form with a depressed thumb rest at the upper terminal.
The measure has a full set of makers hallmarks and label to the left of the handle, along with a ''Imperial'' label. The inside base bears a clear makers mark.
