A Fine Pierced Silver & Glass Butter Dish & Knife

1900 - 1920
Description

A stylish silver butter dish from early in the reign of George V. This appealing example sits in a silver frame and has a frosted glass liner, with star cut base. The body of the dish has a gallery of attractively pierced fretwork to the sides, in Greek Key design. There are twin pierced and shaped handles and four fleur de lys feet. There is a hallmarked silver butter knife included, making this a lovely 'ready to use' item for the table. Dimensions below.
