Stunning Victorian Silver & Cut Glass Scent Bottle by William Hutton & Sons, London 1896

Description

This fabulous and rather unusual Victorian silver and cut glass cologne bottle was made by the celebrated William Hutton & Sons and is dated London 1896. It is a large example, measuring over 5 inches high and looks quite impressive. The square shaped body incised with star and hobnail cut designs. The silver shoulders and hinged lid embossed with foliate patterns. The neck fitted with the original cut glass stopper.

WH&S for William Hutton & Sons.

London Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "a" for 1896.

Dimensions:

Height: 14cm / 5.4 inches.

Width: 6.5cm / 2.4 inches.

Depth: 6.5cm / 2.4 inches.

Condition:
