A Fine and very rare cabinet in the Indo-Saracenic/Mughal manner, using choice expensive selections of Mahogany with Ebony inlays. The top of Fiddle Back Mahogany with a narrow band of Kingwood edged with Ebony lines.
The door panels in fine grained Plum Pudding Mahogany. The door frames are cross grained African KAYA Mahogany with Ebony quarter round moulded edges, and Ebony inlaid Anthemion motifs.
The side pilasters slightly proud, with recessed panels, Ebony edged and lined, and Indian STAR motif.
Natural aged patination, and resulting rich, warm colour.
Architectural style of India, 18th.-19th. Century.
