Here we have an outstanding elegant fine quality Regency Rosewood table c1825. As you can see the table has fantastic colour and patina. We are attributing the table to Gillow and Co as the quality and features are very much in line with other tables from them. The top is stunning with carefully selected timber which has frankly the best grain we have ever seen for a piece of Rosewood. There is a cross banded edge and a shallow frieze. There are flat wide side supports with a turned central stretcher. The turnings on the stretcher along with the outer roundel where the stretcher joins the legs are quite typical of Gillow. Another strong feature of the decoration again very much in the style of Gillows is the gadrooned decoration at the base of the side supports. There are then elongated supports with curved ends and small squashed bun feet. A truly beautiful table in fantastic retail condition ready for your home.
