Outstanding Small Antique Writing Box / Slope
This Outstanding 19th Century Victorian Walnut Small Antique Writing Box / Slope dates from ca. 1890. It is a very usual small neat size with quality brass inlays. The hinged lid opens out to create a sloped writing / work surface with green leather writing insert, small lid with pen storage and an ink well. This beautiful antique box has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wood wax finishing.
