Antique Set of Four Early 20th Century Lacquered Chinoiserie & Cane Occasional Chairs.
The chairs are lacquered and stand on turned legs to the front and sabre legs to the rear.
Decorated with Raising Gilt work depicting traditional landscape scenes with figures , two cane work back panels with drop in upholstered seat pads.
In totally original condition and structurally sound with no wobbles.
We rather like their Original Patina which has been acquired over time and have only treated it with white Oil to feed the wood as we dont want to lose their Original Shabby Appeal.
Original wear to the chairs is present but we totally love the faded grandeur of the regency period these chairs have survived from.
Two of the chairs have small fractures to the cane work and the
...seat upholstery has a few tears in some places , neither of these issues affect the use of the chairs.
93cm High x 48cm Wide x 50cm Deep x 47cm height to seat
With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
Local Collection possible
