Antique French Napoleon III Crapeaud Armchair

19th century
Description

An Antique French Napoleon III Crapeaud style armchair for recovering, with tub back over a pair of scroll arms, the sprung seat with serpentine shaped front and raised on turned supports terminating in brass castors.

82cm high, 86cm wide max, the seat 50cm deep and 36cm high.

The chair is in good structural order, the green velvet upholstery is gruby but could probably be cleaned. It would originally have had braiding along the bottom edge or a fringed skirt which could be replaced. I can arrange complete re-covering with my upholsterer and supply fabric if required - please get in touch for further details.
