The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a calibre 12.68N 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 5941546 which dates it back to 1939.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition.
The watch would have been issued to pilots and navigators of the RAF during WW2. Unfortunately this bezel has gone missing over the years. There would also have been a bezel fixing screw beneath the winding crown but this has been removed, presumably when the bezel was lost, and has the hole been filled in.

Later winding crown.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial appears to be the original, there are no signs it has been ever been changed or re-finished, although the Breguet numbers are more unusual, we have found only found one other example from this era.
Original blued steel hands and centre seconds.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
