This is an antique twin pedestal desk. An English, mahogany and leather office writing table, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

Classic pedestal desk, pleasingly appointed for home office use

Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order

Select stocks show fine grain interest throughout

Rich caramel hues beam beneath a quality wax polish finish

Generous top with an inset green leather skiver, with tooled and embossed finish

Arranged as a suite of nine drawers, with two banks of four framing one to centre

Double wide centre drawer, the banks to the side being of graduated height

Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles over circular back plates

All drawer fascia replete with inset brass-lined locks — keys absent
