M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
. The two-piece mirror bevelled divided plates surrounded by a carved ovolo ‘egg-and-dart’ border .The upper mirror plate with a shaped slip edge and etched and engraved with a design featuring a basket of flowers. The plates having minor atmospheric aged degradation .

The architecturally-inspired carved gilt-wood frame having atmospheric aged wear to the surface , with areas of the red gesso or ‘bole’ ground showing through the rubbed gilding .
The verso with original back-boards .
A highly decorative mirror having achieved an excellent age-worn patina and surface .
