Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian trilogy ring features three gemstones set sequentially along the band, traditionally symbolising the past, present, and future. Popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these rings frequently utilised sapphires, diamonds, or rubies set in yellow gold.

Victorian sapphire rings were predominantly crafted in 15-carat or 18-carat yellow gold. Gemstones were typically secured using claw or bezel settings, often decorated with carved scrollwork or pinched shoulders.

Authentic Victorian pieces often feature specific British hallmarks indicating gold purity, assay office, date letters, or makers marks. Construction details like hand-carved galleries, closed-back settings, or distinctive split shoulders help verify the period.

A Victorian trilogy ring functions as a standalone statement piece or can be stacked alongside modern slim gold bands. The deep blue sapphire tone pairs seamlessly with tailored clothing, neutral knitwear, and contemporary evening wear.

Clean the sapphire ring using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust around the settings. Avoid chemical cleaners and remove the ring prior to heavy physical activity to protect the gold band and gemstones.
