Stylish Antique Brass Dinner Gong - Art Nouveau Stylized Sun C.1900

Description

An exceptional and very decorative Art Nouveau dinner gong, with a wonderfully organic design and a large stylized sun gong in the centre. This sun was once probably copper plated as can be seen at the back, now back down to it's original brass.

Both gong and stand are marked, I have had pieces with this English mark in the past but have been unable to recall the makers name.

The gong comes complete with it's original brass handled strike with a wooden head.

Quite beautiful, a really unusual find & in excellent condition. Measures 9 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" tall.
