The stepped table top above a central drawer which is flanked by cupboards. The panels to the cupboard doors and stool having attractive contrasting timbers. The square stool with studded leather top conveniently stores under the table. The original Art Deco ironmongery completes this charming and functional piece. Signed and dated 1936 to underside of stool. Stool height 44cm. Table opening measures 58cm high. The set is in remarkable good condition for its age. Wear is commensurate with age and use. The leather is intact but shows sign of wear and there is an old repair. There is a small ripple to the veneer on the table top and a faint ring mark neither affect its use. Drawer and cupboards function well.
