Antique English Sterling Silver Napkin Ring by Walker & Hall - 1901

Description

A highly decorative pierced or reticulated napkin ring with an almost nautical theme with continuous knotted ropes around the circumference creating the pierced decoration.

The front has a vacant cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if desired; carrying through the theme with an engraved rope border.

There is a good crisp hallmark for Sheffield 1901, making this a very late Victorian example and also bears the makers mark for the famous quality silversmith, Walker & Hall.

Excellent condition, measuring 1 3/4" in diameter x 1" thick. Weight: 0.54 Troy Ounces or 16.7 grams.
