This is a beautiful handwoven woollen Yalameh carpet with an attractive colourful design dating from around 1930. The carpet has typical Yalameh repeat diamond pattern with polychrome diamonds of rich red, gold and ivory set within a dark indigo field and colourful geometric borders. These carpets look great within both modern or more antique settings.
