Description

Magnificent, large, Italian silver ewer and basin; mid 20th century in Renaissance revival style, Of typical ewer shape with a composite (faux ivory) handle, on a circular collet foot and half fluted design to the lower half. The body is decorated with a matt finish and pierced filigree motifs set with turquoise. The circular basin is similarly decorated. Hugely imposing piece of great size and weight.
