Antique 19thc Furniture Child's Low Back Windsor Yew & Elm Armchair. English C1840-60.

A fine example of a mid 19thc child''s low back Windsor armchair, made entirely of yew with an elm seat....typical in design to Lincolnshire chairs, scaled down and simplified...with heavy two ring turned legs and vase shaped feet, connected by a crinoline stretcher....it has two tapered long back spindles either side of the fleur-de-lis central splat and keyhole motif lower splat....excellent colour from years of careful use with a natural patina and in excellent condition.
