Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The stone is secured by four yellow gold claws and surrounded by ten high-white and internally clean round brilliant cut diamonds (of approx. 0.08 carat each) in a white gold coronet setting. The 18k yellow gold shank splits at the shoulders, with a further diamond set in the gap.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) and a report from GemResearch Swisslab (GRS). Both reports confirm the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and originates from Kashmir.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The sapphire is slightly included clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 1.68 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.85 carat.

Circa – 1960.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 7.75 x 5.99mm. The head of the ring is 13.15 x 10.5mm and sits 6.25mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow and white gold. Tested.
