Description

This is a quality silver nurses chatelaine thermometer holder by Sampson Mordan.

Fully marked for Chester, date letter a little difficult to read, Edwardian in date.

Super engine turned decoration and a decorative cartouche in the centre which does show feint signs of a previous inscription.

The top pushes off but unlike other examples which have a chain attached to either side, this has a central loop to the top.

Great condition.
