Antique Georgian Oak Mule Chest

A well presented antique Georgian oak mule chest. The oak mule chest has a rising lid which opens to reveal a spacious interior. The interior also has a candle box with a hidden drawer below. Below the three dummy drawers is a deep frieze drawer, all with brass drop handles and working lock and key. The oak mule chest has original black smith hinges and is on four bracket supports.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related staining to the top (pictured) and marks to the bottom drawer. Brass restrictors have been historically fitted to avoid over extension of the lid. The top brass escutcheon is missing, however, this does not affect the working lock and key. Overall, a great example of its kind.
