Large Antique Solid Sterling Silver Gilt Ribbon Shoe - Chester 1913

We are delighted to offer this magnificent antique solid silver gilt model of a shoe made in Chester 1913 with the marks of George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

Impressive in size and presence, this shoe is larger than normal miniatures/pin cushion style silver shoe models and is almost the size of a real-life/little girl's shoe.

In addition to its proportions, the fully gilt surface contributes to its overall splendour and magnificence upon viewing and handling. Due to its accurate and detailed craftsmanship, the shoe's design can be truly appreciated upon handling and viewing it from different angles - even the sole and heel of the shoe are made with care and feature elegant curves.

An applied ribbon to the front and the intricate repoussé work along all the sides completes the overall design.

The interior of the shoe has been made into a bowl/box which allows for small objects to be held within. While this piece would be a fabulous collectable item and a display piece, it may also benefit from some creative uses such as storing your jewellery, serving small sweets or even as a small flower vase.

CONDITION

Great Condition - This silver gilt shoe is in great antique condition with no issues or major damage. Some wear on the high points of the sole is present and very minor pin-dents (last photo) but overall in very good order and sturdy with no wobble or damage in any areas.
