A splendid late 19th century French mahogany vitrine , decorated in the Vernis Martin style. Of very good construction in solid mahogany (with a good colour and patina) and embellished throughout with crisp gilt metal mounts. Decorated with classical hand-painted scenes in the Vernis Martin style. The whole cabinet is surmounted by a varigated rouge marble top surrounded by a pierced fretwork brass gallery. The single central glazed door opens to access a lined and shelved interior. The sides of the cabinet are of concave form. Offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home. Working key provided.
