Late 19thc French Brass Doorplates C1880

Description

A late 19thc French pair of fine polished brass doorplates c1880. They feature exceptionally fine craftsmanship in the design and brass work. The brass is quite thin enabling extreme precision. The design features a smooth central panel framed within a matte frame and an outer frame of garlanded leaves. The surmounts feature a shell and scrolling feathers and rosettes above a beaded line. In excellent condition, very bright and decorative.
