Rare E 19thc Stoneware Model of a Lady,s Shoe

Description

From a small collection of 18thc/e19thc stoneware we have acquired.

A minature early 19thc stoneware model of a lady,s shoe.

From the derbyshire area ,probably bridden but unmarked this fabulous shoe is perfect,with no repairs or restoration.

We have never known what these boots and shoes were made for.

Did they have a purpose? Shop display, taper holders ,trademen,s samples or just factory examples of the skills of derbyshire craftsmen.

It measures 15cms l, 8cms h and 5cms deep.

We are dating as around 1820/30
