Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

The English Arts & Crafts movement (c. 1880-1910) championed hand made pieces with an emphasis on craftsmanship and the aesthetics of design to create beauty rather than intrinsically valuable materials such as diamonds. Natural baroque pearls, silver and uncut stones were considered preferable to precious gemstones and the art of enamelling was prized for its ability to let the maker express their creativity.

The buttons are in very good antique condition, just light surface tarnish consistent with their age, see photos.
The buttons are supplied with their original silk-lined faux leather antique box, as shown in the photographs. The case has some scrapes but is a sturdy and very attractive box with a secure clasp.
Size: Each button is 1.4cm diameter, the box is 9.5cm long.
