Thoughts that this chair may be Anglo-Indian are based on stylistic grounds. Mahogany was imported into India in the 18th and 19th century often sold by public auction, typically by the log, to enable it to be used for furniture commissions.

Condition: Structurally sound, joints nice and tight no breaks or repairs. Some sun fading particularly to the back, typical minor dents and scratches.
