A very fine Edwardian solid silver stamp case in the form of a satchel. The hinged lid opens to allow placement of stamps inside. On the top is a loop for attachment.
When the hinged lid is opened clear hallmarks are revealed for the Birmingham Assay Office and a date mark for 1903. There are also maker''s marks, for the renowned silversmiths: Crisford & Norris Ltd.
Condition: This stamp case is in great antique condition. The hinge works perfectly and snaps shut.
It could be lovely to use as a locket.
