A high quality French gilded mantel clock with porcelain panels. Floral side panels and a cherub to the dial centre, signed by artist 'Devant'. An 8-day duration movement striking 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Signed to the mechanism 'Howell & James to The Queen' as retailers. Circa 1885.
