A finely cast and chased mid 19th century, French, Grand Tour bronze bust depicting Athena, Goddess of war. Shown with flowing hair tied at the back, a helmet topped with a coiled snake, looking straight ahead, the square stepped base cast with a leafy border and supported on a substantial Sienna marble base. Base with nibbles to marble edges.
