N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This lovely Lenzkirch clock has a walnut case with a fantastic colour and grain.
The body of the case then has two beautifully shaped columns to the front as well as an array of beautiful, shaped ormolu mounts. The sides of the case then has lovely brass fretwork panels backed in material each with a lovely moulding surround. The body then has a further moulding to the bottom leading to a thin area with ormolu mounts to the front leading to the final moulding. Finally the case has two square feet to the back as well as two beautifully shaped feet to the front.
The dial is then arched and brass. It has a silvered chapter ring set out in roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes, with every five minutes being marked in Arabic numerals. The dial then has a silvered “SLOW” and “FAST” dial with is flanked by two brass spandrils, with a further two to the bottom corners. The dial then has two lovely, shaped fingers as well as a shaped hand to the slow and fast dial. Finally there is a lovely bevelled glass door to protect the dial, with working lock and key.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is complete with its pendulum and winding key and ticks away and chimes as it should. It chimes once on the half past and the number of hours on the hour via a gong. The movement is then stamped for the famous German maker Lenzkirch.

14.5” / 37cm Tall.
10.5” / 26.75cm Wide.
7” / 18cm Deep.
