Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
This large Edwardian oak refectory table was made in the first quarter of the 20th century.
The solid oak planked top sits on the silhouette shaped ends that are joined by a bar, each end carries on through the end with a slot that then a shaped tapering peg is tapped in until the table is rigid.

It is a style and design that has been popular and very useful from the Elizabethan period.
These make a most wonderful piece for a kitchen and informal style of dining.

Green Product
Antiques are very environmentally friendly items; they are the ultimate green recycled product. They have been used for generations, and will go forward for more generations, sparing the worlds resources. Unlike mass-produced modern items using scarce resources, cutting down acres of forests before being shipped for 3000 miles, used for a few years then discarded, before another load is shipped again 3000 miles.

We spend time choosing the best product, an antique item that must meet the strict criteria to be placed in Hingstons of Wilton stock.
