~~ Excellent original condition throughout ~~
This is a superb example of a late 19th century French mantel clock.
The case is quite extraordinary made of jet black nero belgio marble and in the Roman theme with gilt corinthian pillars to each side, a figure or mask and most intriguingly a copper panel depicting a fighting scene between Hannabal and Roman soldiers.

The detail is quite superb with gilt engraving and decoration.
The dial and glass are in perfect original condition with no hairline cracks or chips,
It is totally original and has just undergone a full and comprehensive restoration and overhaul by Alan Williams of Plymouth Clocks, a Fellow of the British Horological Institute, so is in tip top condition and should give trouble free service for many years to come.

It comes with its original key and runs for over 8 days between winding.
This clock dates from about 1890 and has obviously been highly prized and looked after, the condition is a credit to its previous owners.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
