This is a superb example of a late 19th century French mantel clock timepeice.
There are gilt handles to each side and a decorative piece on the top. It has solid brass bracket feet to the rear and lions paw feet to the front.

The detail is quite superb with gilt engraving and decoration.
The white enamel dial is in perfect original condition with no hairline cracks or chips, the glass is also in perfect original condition.
It has a wonderful French timepiece movement which is totally original and has just undergone a full and comprehensive restoration and overhaul by Alan Williams of Plymouth Clocks, a Fellow of the British Horological Institute, so is in tip top condition and should give trouble free service for many years to come.

It comes with its original key and runs for over 8 days between winding, a wonderful timepiece.

This clock dates from about 1880 and has obviously been highly prized and looked after, the condition is a credit to its previous owners.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
