Description

Professionally restored and serviced.

Superb oak quarter chiming bracket clock by premier German clock maker Lenzkirch and dated to around 1900.

The case is quite outstanding, made of quarter sawn oak which has matured over the decades into a wonderful colour and has carved floral motifs around the clock face and to the top, it is in superb condition.

The original front glass door is set in a polished brass frame and is in perfect condition, this is complimented by the brass spandrels at each corner and the brass mask in the centre. it has a solid brass handle and stands on solid brass bracket feet.

The clock is a quarter chiming ting tang clock which chimes once on twin gongs at quarter past the hour, it chimes twice on twin gongs at half past the hour and chimes 3 times at quarter to the hour. It strikes the full hour on a single gong. The gongs are very mellow and resonate beautifully for a very long time ,it sounds divine. It comes with its original key.
