Victorian Leather & Sterling Silver Cigar Case - 1877

Description

A nice example of an early cigar case, beautifully constructed in a rich cognac coloured leather with a sterling silver collar.

Both the leather and silver are signed by the London retailer C.A. Carlin - 145 Regent St. The silver also bears the English hallmark for London 1877 together with the much sought-after Queen Victoria's head duty mark. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Edward H Stockwell.

Excellent condition, measuring 5 3/8" x 3 7/8".
