Rare set of 4 early C19th mahogany framed dressing stools or window seats .
 
All raised on shaped sabre legs with scroll arms , the design taking its inspiration from a classical lyre form . The uprights joined by lateral bobbin-turned rails .
 
In excellent original strong condition with only one historic professional repair to the leg of one stool . Have achieved a rich colour and patina with some variances to areas exposed to sunlight. The upholstery webbing in good serviceable condition , though the fabric would perhaps benefit from refurbishing and changing.
 
Scarce set of four stools for use in a variety of settings to provide symmetry perhaps as window seats or dressing stools .
