An early 20thC or possibly Victorian, copper weather vane. The figures of a dog chased by a child and booted gentleman wearing a top hat are extremely well depicted having both movement,expression and detail. There is a strengthening copper repair to the base of the gentlemans leg. Traces of old paint and copper verdigris. The whole is fixed to a folded copper mount itself on a counter-weighted base. That in turn is on an iron and heavy tile based axis allowing the vane to rotate.
