Art Deco 2.05 Carat Natural Purple Sapphire & Diamond Ring, Circa 1935

1920 - 1940
Description

An awesome unheated purple sapphire and diamond ring. The cushion shaped sapphire in the centre – certified as natural and unheated – displays a vivid, regal purple. The stone is secured in a platinum rubover setting which sits within an octagonal shaped cluster set with ten old mine cut diamonds, the two either side of the sapphire being both slightly larger and sitting slightly higher than the remaining diamonds. Decorative detailing in the gallery leads to a slim white gold shank. A timelessly beautiful Deco stunner.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are H to I.

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean, and the diamonds are SI1 to SI2.

Carat – The sapphire is 2.05 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.56.

Circa – 1935.

Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 7.54 x 7.51mm. The head of the ring is 18.2 x 15.4 and sits 9.1mm from the finger.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
