A late Victorian ladies mahogany workbox with sliding lid and fitted interior.
This stylish and well kept item consists of an upper box with partially exposed fabric in soft peach, riding above fine tapering square section legs terminating in spade feet.
A fitted interior allows for storage and separation of smaller items.
There is an original 1940 T. Mepham & Sons sticker to the underside showing that the piece once lived in the South East London area.
A wonderful piece of furniture that is in good order throughout. We mention for the sake of accuracy that there is a small ink mark on the fabric internally under one of the storage compartments which is visable under close inspection.
