ANTIQUE NUMBER SA1015958: An Excellent Engraved Silver Cream Jug 1930

An Excellent Engraved Silver Cream Jug 1930

£195    $249    €231
This is a really pretty, substantial, silver, helmet-shaped, cream jug, with a shaped round base, made by Charles Boyton and Son, Birmingham, in 1930. It has first-rate engraved decoration consisting of four, oval cartouches, three with Adams-style urns and a fourth left blank for a monogram. These are interspersed with floral swags. There is a running-wave border above and below, and the top and bottom edges have beaded decoration. It has a shaped, reeded handle. This piece is in excellent, antique condition, with no damage, losses or repairs. The hallmarks are rubbed by discernible. A lovely example.
