Wooden Head Shaped Wig Hat Block. Milliner's Display Stand.

Description

This head shaped wig / hat block which dates from c1900 has a great dark brown colour with lots of pin holes which have accumulated over the years and looks wonderful displaying wigs, hats, fascinators and other headwear.

This milliner's wooden hat block which has a great decorative patina is marked to the underside with the number 57 and would have originally been used to make and shape hats or wigs. Today this would make a wonderful decorative display piece.

Dimensions: Circumference at widest point: 58 cm (22 3/4"). Height: 25 cm (9 3/4").

Weight: 2562 g.

Condition: Wonderful decorative antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. The usual pin holes, splits, cracks and lots of age related wear leaving a wonderful patina and look. No woodworm.

Please note that only the hat block is included and any other items in the pictures are for scale only.
