Description

A large and impressive antique Victorian Arts and Crafts carved oak desk. This was made in England, it dates from around 1890-1900.

It is of exceptional quality, with very impressive carved details throughout. The top has a black inset leather writing surface and gadrooned edges. The legs are bold and beautifully designed, with carving inside and outside. Even the stretcher is beautifully carved. This is identical front and back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some extremely minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there, and one tiny chip to the outer corner of the carved edge of the top, seen in the images.
