The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a Seth Thomas grade 46 seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement carries the serial number 139287 which dates it back to circa 1896. The watch was made for Lever Brothers Ltd, New York and the movement is signed with their name.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 41mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is ‘14k stiffened’ (gold filled). It has a 5mm scar to the edge of the back but otherwise is in good condition.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial looks good to the naked eye. It has a couple of short faint hairlines and some light marking if you look very carefully.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
