Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The sapphire is secured in an eight claw coronet collet and flanked on either side by a pair of old mine cut diamonds in five-claw coronet collets. An unual, beautifully balanced ring.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamond are F and H.

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean, and the diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is 2.04 carat. Each diamond is approximately 0.30 carat.
Circa – 1955.
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 6.4 x 8.1mm. From the outer edge of one diamond to the other is 15.3mm. The ring is 9.3mm at the widest point and sits 5.4mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
